About Us

A brief Ph History

Ph, a traditional Vietnamese dish, has been around for decades. Originated from North Vietnam in Hanoi, its popularity soon spread to all corners of Vietnam. Today more than 17 different varieties of Ph can be found throughout the country. More often than not, it is made with beef, although other kinds of meat may be substituted. Chicken also makes a popular dish. Ph can be eaten for breakfast, lunch or dinner; it is customary for some families to eat Ph at least 3 times per week.

Here in America, Ph has become a very popular dish among America communities. Most Ph restaurants are single family owned establishments, each with its own taste and flavors that cater to different preferences among Vietnamese families. Ph Běnh was also started as a single family owned restaurant, but our name quickly became popular with the Vietnamese in Houston’s community because of our authentic ‘Ph Bc’ taste that many critics agreed came close to the original Ph that began in Hanoi, North Vietnam.

Today Ph Běnh has grown to 3 restaurants in the Houston area to cater to both Vietnamese and steadily growing American families. We are also in the planning stages of expanding our operations within the next few years. Here at Ph Běnh, we are committed to serve our customers healthy and tasty foods, fresh meats and produce, and friendly service, all at an inexpensive price.
